my friend gave this to me and wondering what kind it is

florida, if it stretchs out its about 12inchs, but normally its the size of my hand, its eats anything and can catch damsels.
 
Then it's most likely O. briareus however it's hard to tell with those pics. Also, the coloration is usually more blueish... Does it have A LOT of webbing? Like this pic: http://www.brandoncole.com/profile photos/INVERTEBRATES/octopus and kin/lo6751.jpg (also a briareus btw)? From the pics you've given it doesn't look like it... however it seems too big to be one of the dwarf species.

BTW: What size tank do you have this guy in, skimmer, octo proofing, etc?
 
it has webbing but not like that
its in a 29 gallon, no skimming water change every 5 days, filterfloss, and the lid is clamped on impossible for it to get out.
