If you dont have the lineage then it nost likely is not. Just because it might look like it does not make it one. Did you get it at a lfs?

Tyree - It's a guy, if the coral is from him, then it has lineage. If it's from the ocean, no lineage. The difference between a $20 coral and a $200/$2000 coral. PPEs locally are a great example of lineage. Some have it, some don't.

on that subject, let me know when you get back into town. id like to grab a two polyp frag of ppes from you if you have some. :)

its a shame 1 person can make that much difference..

I never really understood why if its the same coral... I could understand if it was a morph or something...

looks very nice buddy..and btw people with brain don`t care if is "tyree" or anything like that, all that i can say is really nice...

Having a Tyree coral is like having a designer or pedigree dog. You are paying for the pedigree and lineage. Are these corals really nice? Yes. Are they the absolute best? Most of the time, but not all of the time. Other corals do show up which are just as nice and sometimes even nicer. This is the same as with the dogs. Does a designer or purebred dog cost a lot of $$? Yes it does. Is it the best? Thats debateable just like the corals. Its the same thing having a "named" item regardless if it is a Tyree coral, a Rolex watch or a purebred dog. If you did not buy a named coral with lineage then it is wrong to sell it as such. IMO it would be the same if I went to a flea market, bought a fake Rolex and then sold it as if it were the real deal and charged lots of $$. It might look like a real Rolex, but its not. Its scamming others.

PS Lots of people with brains and $$$ like the "named" corals just like they like the designer clothes and fancy expensive cars. Nothing wrong with that and more power to them.

there is no way that u can compare a fake rolex with a flea market rolex.now a tyree war coral can be very nice but u can find much nicer war corals for a lot less money just because they don`t have that "tyree" name........

Im not knocking. To each his own. I know there is always going to be someone out there that has that passion for an item and pay those prices..( i have paid over 1400.00 for custom Biscayne fishing rods so i get it)...
I would rather rescue a dog from the pound then pay for pedigree and lineage..Something that's so easily forged...i would'nt believe it unless it came from Steve himself(or a supreme source)..

"1400.00 for custom Biscayne fishing rods" I like that custom,if tyree have a custom war coral I buy it :D .and dont get me wrong tank raised corals are better than wild corals for sure...

marco you have to get better with that camera same with your site! that or stop take'n pics with your camera phone lol j/k mess"n with you buddy nice peice

people can do what they want and business is business but i dont agree with the above comment. A fake Rolex is a Fake rolex. you cant compare it to the real thing. fake brushed gold, CZ, and aluminum is def not the same thing as 24K gold, Diamonds and Platinum. That is deff a scam, but i dont see a diff between a coral that went str8 to a LFS and sells for $40 and a coral that went through Tyree which is now $200. But again, business is business, and if you can make money, disclose the product and are honest with what your selling and people are still willing to pay the inflated price, then hey....thats business.
