What is a Purple Slimer (scientific name). Is this a purple tort?

Also, I just bought an Acropora sp. at a frag swap. It is extremely thin and long, with branches at the top. It looks like a palm tree. It's being acclimated now, so I don't have pics.

Any ideas? Could it be a Acropora longicyathus?

Here's a pic of that Acropora. Anybody know what it is?

Looks like the creature that comes out of people in aliens

Sorry a closer pic may help .

Also a formosa will slime up your finger if you rub it .

no, your thinking of the creature that lays the egg inside of people. the baby alien that pops out of people looks like an alien but small with a sort of larva back end.

No. This is not the purple slimer. This is the Palm Tree coral that I think is A. longicyathus. That's what I'd like to ID.

The formosa is really purple, but it doesn't slime, I don't think. I try it tomorrow, after it's been in the tank for a day.
