ID Question

can anyone ID this anemone? LFS said carpet, but I want to know more. Thanks!

Thank you :-) Its the strangest anem I have seen. I couldnt get it off my hand when I was puting it in the tank - was neat though! My clowns arent sure what to think yet.

I read that discussion. Good information there. I keep my corals at the opposite end of the tank, along with my feather dusters, so hopefully they will be safe. The nem hasn't moved much, must be happy where he is. The GSM's are quite large, and chase everything away from their end of the tank, even ME - as they charge at me through the glass if I get down to see them lol. The blue tang pretty much does his own thing, and the goby stays at the coral end.
 
I would suggest that any time you have to touch it/move it that you wear gloves, mine don't stick to the gloves as much as they do to bare hands.
 
What makes this a striped specimen? Is it a fixed pattern due to genetic pigmentation or does the colour change over time? Beautiful and unusual :)
 
The stripes should stay there over time. I have a tan one with faint stripes that have been the same over the 9 years that I have had it.
