Id smasher or spearer

Looking to buy a mantis at work but I'm not sure if it's a smasher or a spearer. I haven't heard it click yet but he hasn't eaten anything yet. He is greenish/brown and his tail it bright purple/blue. Any pics so I can identify before I buy it, I really only want it if it's a smasher!

He pretty much looks like this guy, I'm assuming it's a smasher but have't seen many so don't really know the difference.

Yeah, that's what I thougth....so it's a smasher I"m assuming?

yes the Peacock mantis shrimp, Odontodactylus Scylarrus, is a smasher. Are you sure that he is a peacock though? how large is your mantis?

Well it has the tail that has the black spots and it's colored very similar to the picture. It's about 5" or so.
