I just found a very tiny snail moving on the rock (not near any coral). It looks like a turbo or trochus snail but it is only about 1/8 inch (or less). It also moves like a turbo snail. I have removed it from the tank just to be safe (it is sitting in a container with tank water). Is it likely to be a baby turbo snail? I cannot post a picture right now. Moreover, I don't know if I can get a clear picture of the snail because it is so small.

The tank has some LPS coral (torch, candy cane, open brain, blasto merleti), kenya tree and green toadstool. Could this be a snail that harms these coral?

Do you have any turbos or any other snails in the tank? Its most likely their offspring. I have random groups of baby snails in my tanks from time to time. Look around, Im sure you have more...

Yes, I have turbo snails in the tank as well as cerith and nasarrius. So it is likely a baby turbo? I can now congratulate myself on the snails reproducing? And, of course, place the baby back in the tank?

Cloak, it could be a collonista snail but I think the markings are different - it is too small to really tell.

Here's a close up picture of some of the collonista snails I grabbed from my tank.
