I have these snails in my tank and they only come out when lights are off. Some times they stick together also. Have not seen any harm to corals or fish and I've had them for close to a year.
Yes. The jury is still out on whether they are actually in the genus Collonista, but they are certainly in the same family and subfamily. Most people love them unless they get numerous enough to jam up equipment.
