Two pictures follow. The first is a wide view of the rock, and the second is a crop to show a closer view of the algea. I have this on two or three rocks, distributed about like what you see on this one. In the closeup you can see it is fuzzy, but it's very short and from outside the tank you can't really see the fuzz. It never seems to get any longer than what you see here either. It's very hard to remove, and scrubbing with a toothbrush hardly make a dent. I think the turbo snails eat it a bit, but they never actually clean it completely.
It's a long way from taking over and is confined to a couple of spots, but I'd sure like to get rid of it. Can anyone ID it specifically?
