Good job on the id. It is a Hesionidae. Although it doesn't have the right number of pairs of tentacular cirri for either Leocrates or Hesione it's most likely to be one of those 2 genera as the cirri often break off. If it's got a median antenna in the middle of the head it's Leocrates; no antenna then it's Hesione.
Not too much is know about feeding in the different genera. They're thought to be predators on other worms & small crustaceans; from experience I know that some will eat debris/detritus. No problem for corals.
