I think friend but I've never seen them. You know, it kinda looks like a cuke with it's legs out.

It kind of looks like a cowry snail with its mantle extended. Does it have a hard shell if you poke it? If so then keep an eye on it as some are obligate coral feeders while others are algae grazers.

It was soft I went ahead and removed to be 100% safe

You shouldn't remove random stuff. Since it is soft, it is probably a harmless slug. You just killed an innocent individual
