Looks like M. digitata, but it looks smooth in this pic which
would make it something else. Can you get a better shot of the
polyps?

OK, here is a close up, but it is really very smooth, I can't really see the individual polyps. The seller can't identify it:

heliopora also know as blue coral, or fire coral

if it is its actually a softie with a hard calcium carbonate skel.

it will also have 8 tentacles on each polyp

this is from J.Sprung coral ref. guide

+1 on fire coral, if it is, this coral has a potent sting that can irritate humans so careful when handling it.

Millepora dichotoma aka fire coral it's being an issue also in Red Sea in some part of the reef is killing all the other corals :(
As precko said it can irritate also your skin in case put the hand under the hot water and the pain will go away but it sting so much.

Deff. looks like a fire coral to me...this is what it looks like all grown up...

And believe me it does not feel good when you touch it. I accidentally rubbed up against it twice while snorkeling in Puerto Rico this summer. Nice fire/stinging feeling which followed by about a month of itching in the location.
