I saw a wrasse at the LFS today, mostly black/dark blue with two dark blue lines running the length of the body. Looks like a longer wrasse like a radiant wrasse, but with only two lines.

What is it? Any info?

Genus Larabicus: Larabicus quadrilineatus (Ruppell 1835)(2), the Fourline or Arabian Cleaner Wrasse is actually a cleaner only as a juvenile. As adults (they only get to five inches) the Fourline Wrasse mainly feeds only on coral polyps. Occasionally imported from the Red Sea. Also found in the Gulf of Aden to the south. Adult/male and female shown. Males dark blue in color overall.

My beloved 6-line jumped out of my tank. 2 1/2 years old. Sad.

OT - Art, we need to talk (w/ Piberoptikz) about Photo 101 presentation for the club, scheduled for the Oct meeting. Let's schedule something after the June meeting.
