Id yellow anemone

yeah its definately a sebae .. I have never seen a yellow one but I'm sure some one else can tell us if its dyed or not. Where did you get it?

Here I posted your picture for you

It is H. crispa (sebae anemone) but it has definately been dyed yellow. Sometimes they survive the process, but usually not. I all cases the color will fade in a couple weeks to a month.

It is a dyed H. crispa. Unfortunately very common. It is not necessarily fatal to the anemone and sometimes the yellow clears and you have a very white, bleached sebae that eventually colors up tan again as the zooxanthellae recolonize.

Hej Daniel
Ã" rgerligt med din anemone hvis den er farvet for den er ellers flot som den ser ud pÃ¥ billedet

Are there any way to see that it is a dyed anemone? Or can you tell it because you have never seen a H. crispa with such a color?

/Magnus

Not sure if it works on anemones, but we used to be able to tell if we got a dyed soft coral by lightly squeezing a part of it with a paper towel. The color would come off on the towel.

My uncle has a yellow sebae...purple tips like the pic...4 months now, happy as ever, good mouth, foot attatched, expanded well, eats silversides with good response...How long does it take to change colors???
