I am actually not sure if these are truly pests, in fact they don't look like anything except some tubes, kind of tiny feather duster tubes but very soft. They don't seem to be affecting my Zoas in anyway, however they just look funny.
Probably sponges.
If they begin to suffocate the zoas you'll need to carefully remove them with tweezers.
Some sponges aren't bad at all.
Some others can take over your system and the polyps will close.
Not a big deal though.
That happens in nature a lot.
