Hi,

I'm going to build a mounting/canopy for my 24" cube. Now it is illuminated by a Giesemann REFLEXx mounted on the rim. Its no option to put the light under the ceiling.

Material could be alu, acylic or plywood. Handling should be no problem incl. folding of alu.

What I have so far:
  • 18 XRGs, 18 XREs (rb)
  • heatsink 12"x12", 2" high (300x300x50mm), alu black, 10lbs
  • hydra controller, led drivers (CAT4101)

What I want:
  • stylish + solid construction
  • possiblity to cover the tank in winter days (humidity)
  • space for drivers, controller + LCD

Attached are 2 unfinished sketchup trials and an early pic of the tank. It had a lifetime of 3 year before I emptied it because of cyanos. I'll start it again as soon as the lightning is finished.

Any ideas, examples etc. are very welcome!

regards
Ingo

Hi,

after looking around for some time I decided to build a complete new stand. It will be based on Bosch Rexroth alu profiles (30x30mm) and integrates a boom (is it the correct word?) for the light.

Any opinions and ideas are welcome!

Ingo
