What is the ideal environment for zoanthids?

I was asked this question tonight and to be honest I didn't know the answer! I'm not talking like your standard "duh" kind of environment (standard reef environment); I'm talking every aspect: calcium, salinity, alkalinity, pH, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, amount of flow, cleanliness/dirtiness of the water, lighting, etc. I have always been successful in keeping zoas in my reef tank, but I want to know exactly what will make them thrive. Anyone want to throw in their $.02? :D

Love high flow. NO phosphate (ROWA phos is a good remover). like clean water(your skimmer and water changes will do the job for you). Dont like extremely high ammounts of T5 lighting. I have noticed best growth and color under Pheonix 15 k halides.

do weekely 10-30%water change with a good salt. i like coralife.

i try to feed the larger polyps mysis or other large foods. smaller zoos, i traget feed with a syringe. i mix DT's phyto, oyster eggs, and cyclopseeze frezer bar into a liquid. then target with the syringe

in my opinion, flow is as important to zoos as it is to sps.
