Ideal situation

1) I have always used NSW collected off shore here in Australia!

2) I don't use additives other than kalk (I just thought i was cheap LOL, seems it payed off)

3) I use carbon periodically (maybe I should use it all the time)

So my question is is this ideal, is there more I can do to reduce the build up of toxic substances......

And ragardless if there is or even isn't anything else i can do, I would then just have to wait until eventually my tank does develop 'old tank syndrome' whereupon I start again?

Thanks for your time Ron!

Hi Joel,

Well, it sounds like you have it nailed pretty well. I would suggest period large water changes, with the hope that doing such would allow some of the built up trace elements to be flushed at bit. Other than that, perhaps filtration with a polyfilter or the like to remove any excess metals that become soluble.

:D
