I just switch to a 125 from a 55 I need fish ideas, I have a clown, yellow tail damsel and a jawfish. They need to be reef safe, for corals I have LPS, SPS and softies.
I was thinking a small clown tang that it's been at the LFS for two weeks and it's only $20 will this work. I had a blue tang once and started messing with my brain coral so it had to go that was on my 55 but the tank was 2.5" very healthy so I end up selling it. I need something that won't mess with my LPS's specially my acan lords
make sure its eating. But in the long it will need a bigger tank, htey get pretty big. Also they are one of the most agressive tangs. If you don't plan on putting any others tangs in you should be ok but if you do then I suggest against it.
That will be the only one tang, if I go for it they are really pretty, are they agressive just between tangs or other fish too. I might add a school of chromis later. Do they bother clams?
Personally, I think a clown tang will get too big if you have even a normal amount of live rock. To each their own on how much space a tang needs, though -- I'd rather not approach that topic because I really don't care enough.
Yank the damsel for sure never trust them in a reef myself they have always been bad. Purple tang is awesome but also gets aggressive but must surgeon fish style tanks like the powder blue and such are very hardy and not aggressive towards anything
