Im just in the process of cycling a 45 gallon tank, 4' by 1' by 1.5', it will be fowlr. Does anyone have any interesting ideas of what i can put in here? I sorta have to get a pair of small clowns, could i get a small puffer in without trouble? I was also thinkin about a black ribbon eel? Somthin like that, its at the lfs but im having trouble finding it on the net. any other ideas feel free to throw them around, im jsut worried about not being able to keep inverts to help clean if i go agressive.

if this is your first tank then i would stick with just for the clowns for now. Once it cycles and you get the hang of maintaining it then you may start adding more fish. I am sorry to say that a 45 is too small to keep aggressive species for any long period of time. You can however keep a dwarf lion such as the fu manchu or a frogfish if you decide to remove the clowns.
Honestly though I would keep the clowns perhaps add a small harem of royal grammas or a flame angel, then get some cleaner shrimp.
Once the tank cycles you can start adding some corals for color.
If you want aggressive I would not suggest any tank smaller than 150 gallons preferably if you have the room and means a 200 gallon.
