Ideas for Nano, Gift for my son.

My son wasn't a reef tank for his birthday. I am thinking Bio Cube 29. For live stock a pair of clowns and a RBTA. My son will turn 7 and he does a great job maintaining his 10 gallon glow fish aquarium. He is intelligent and well disciplined, always asking before he does something like feeding or anything. More importantly he cares for the life of inhabitants. My wife and I will be in charge and while teaching him how to take care of and how things work.

These are my thoughts for equipment:
29 Bio Cube or similar
AI Prime or Kessil
30 pounds Pukani
20 pounds sand
RW-4 wavemaker
I don't know much about filtration for these but I was thinking doing MarinePure spheres and some kind of physical filtrating media that can be removed and cleaned periodically. I don't know if that's enough or If/how I can upgrade.

I like the idea of an all-in-one because I don't want to have to buy a lot of equipment again like my 180. Also want to keep it simple.

Please need help. Thank you.

If you don't want to upgrade the lighting and want to go low maintenance for the kids tank you could do a xenia forest for the clowns. That's what my daughters have and they love it. Lowest maintenance tank I've ever had.

Plus, there's a margin of error that an anemone in a nano doesn't have. The kid can do a lot more on their own without concern for slight mistakes, and it's cheaper with the stock lighting ;)

My BC 29 has been running 3 months with this setup and i think it works great.
