ideas? for old skimmers

Anyone know if you can reuse older small to med protein skimmers as anything usefull. IE... media reactors, fluidzed filters, other. With modification of course.

I had one stolen from me by some construction workers that were working on my house. I heard that they tried to make a water bong out of it. I don't know if it worked out or not though. LOL It came with the first tank that I purchased many years ago. I didn't even know what it was for. The previous owner wasn't using it when I bought it.

Why not just sell them and buy something you could use more?
