Ideas for removing Anemones??

I have a healthy and beautiful long tentacle that I would like to get out of the tank. Other than getting in there and busting up a bunch of my SPS, anyone have any ideas how to get one to let go?

All anemones are easiest to remover when on the move. The trick is to get it to move enough to get a hold of it. Some suggestions I found here were to directly point a powerhead on it so that it feels uncomfortable in its current spot.

+1 to Throewer the powerhead option usually moves them you can also physically use a ice cube on the base sometimes they release then.

You could also place a small rock in its path as it starts moving so you could take out the nem with the rock; it'll be much less stress for the nem.

Thank you all, I will try the powerhead idea first (with a rock) and then the ice cube!

I tried the ice-cube and it doesn't work too well, especially not through glass.
Furthermore, you risk getting your anemone sick from undercooling.

The rock idea on the other hand may work well.
