ideas for skimmer my 300

i am looking for any input on a skimmer for my 300gal. i am leaning towards an mr3 but havent pulled the trigger yet. i thought about an asm since i have had good look with it on my 200 but height is a concern. i only have about 30 in which i dont think will allow me to get one large enough. i do have a closet right behind the tank to put a mr3 and run the plumbing through the wall. any suggestions??

The new ATI bubble master seems to be the new guy on the block getting alot of attention. They are inexpensive for what you are getting and most of them are geared toward the larger tanks like yours. I did some searches for you on threads:

I know iwan if you are familiar with him is using the new bubble masters. Ok never mind scratch that. These skimmers are like 48 inches tall and for in sump use. You kind of limited yourself with the 30 inches of height and 300 gallons to skim. I think an external skimmer is going to be your only choice to get the performance you will need. How about a second home mortgage and a Deltec. I am loving my small Deltec plumbed externally.

anyone know much about the mrc recirculating skimmers like the MR-2R
