Ideas for Stocking 50 gal

Hellloooo again,
I'm just starting out and am currently cycling a 50 gal tank. I've been reading a lot about fish compatibility and adequate room for the fish and was wondering if anyone has suggestions for me? I'm just looking for some general ideas because i'm not really too set on any certain fish. I want to do a reef tank for sure. I'll include a pic of my tank right when i first got it up. any other advice is greatly appreciated thanks for reading everyone

Personal preference..
You should spend some time browsing liveaquaria and sites like that looking at specific fish to see what YOU like and then reading about their care/reef compatibility,etc...

Its YOUR tank.. YOU need to decide what you do with it..

I wouldn't use a glass top as well; you can get some eggcrate from home depot. Glass can heat up your tank, co2 issues, etc

as i said i've been reading a lot about it i just wanted some general ideas; i took that picture halfway through filling it so no worries it's topped off; also i don't have the glass on the whole tank anymore, i've heard about it heating up the tank one of my lights doesn't have hooks on the end so i have a strip of glass for that one to lay on.. is that still going to heat the tank?
