Identify Coral

Please excuse the poor quality cell phone photo. This showed up in my tank about 4 weeks ago and has grown from less than dime size to baseball size in that time. Another one just appeared across the tank on one of the power heads and has grown from very small to about size of a quarter in one week. Can someone identify this.

Yup or potato chip coral.

Looks like scroll algae . especially if growing that fast. It appears translucent in the pic.
Does it look like this ?

Yes, that is exactly what it looks like. Is it something I can use in my sump for nutrient export.
