Identify plant

Can anybody identify this plant growing out of my rock in many places?? Is it good or bad for my tank? Open attached photo.

Halimeda is a calcium consuming plant. Heavy lighting, an iron suppliment, and a good Calcium additive will ensure your success with this macro algae. Be ware of spawing events or a.k.a. "going sexual". This occurs when the plant expells all its contents into the water leaving behind a white husk and a polluted tank.
