I have always heard to be refered to as "Flower Coral" , but that is a common name for several different ones as well.
 
Ah, didn't think of that. If they are in fact clove polyps, start fragging now, or it will be quite the task later on.
 
I'd say clove polyps too. I had little blue ones, which are quite pretty, but they do detach and end up all over the place. The blue ones I had stayed small enough that they really can't shade anything out, so it was starting to make some cool cover for a lot of the rocks when I had to take down the tank they were in. Like a lot of softies, it doesn't take much for them to thrive and possibly thrive too much...
