Identify very small worm with white links

I am trying to identify some small worms on my sponge. It kind of looks like a brittle star, except it's white and does not have tentacles. It really is a thin worm that I have seen around .5 to 1 inch long.

I do not have a picture and my camera would not be able to take a picture of such a small size with any clarity.
