I cant really make it out but it looks sorta like caulerpa algae (assuming you're talking about the plant thing.) You could probably get away with just ripping it out.

yes th eplant stuff and thats what i thought it was how do i prevent it? im having little spots starting to show up all over a few rocks

is your foxface/blue tang/powder brown doing anything to it? (Eating it), if not do you have any herm's or snails in your tank?

no they are not, and no crabs i have snails: nass,nerite and turbo

me and you both they dont even eat the nori i put in there. they just eat the mysis and brine
