Identifying bacteria

I,m looking for advice on microsopes, staining techniques,Identication of bacteria.
What is involved. What type of microscope is required.
Once I have a stain , what do i do next.
Is it possible to cross reference bacteria ?, or do I need grow on the bacteria.
How do i go about then treating the bacteria

Just curious, why so much detail on the bacteria? Is it for a school project or something?

At present I rely on a friend to diagnose any parasite problems,
Luckily I have not had a bacterial problem, but they do occur,
Once I have my own Microscope,if I,m limited to parasites fair enough,
