Hey all,
There is an LFS near my house which as about 6 maxima and crocea clams at for around 50 bucks. Some of them appear to be gapping and these are the ones that have been there three months, the others which are new look in good heath but at the same time this LFS does not keep things up to par. I do not trust a lot of their livestock but at the same time probably my tank would give them a better hope compared to some of the other people with NO lighting and a tank that is recently cycled. The lights the clams are under are a mix of VHO and NO lighting. I am thinking about playing a rescue game with one of the croceas there. He is about 4 inches and appears to be gapping. So having said all this I want to know how I can identify clams that are healthy and ones that are unheathy. Also the different methods to acclimate them to my stronger lighting and how to get them back to proper health given the problems they have.
Thanx in advance for any help
