I want to drill a new input hole for the pump on a SCA 302 because it does not fit in my sump due to the venturi? sticking out too far. Would it cause any issues with skimmate production?
I want to relocate the venturi to the opposite end of the outlet(blue pipe).
I'm not home but lets say I don't attach the blue venturi, I am able to place the skimmer in the sump but as soon as I attach the venturi, I can't because it hits a baffle. Not sure if that made sense.
So my idea was to plug the hole and make a new one on the opposite end of the skimmer outlet. I'll take pics when I get home.
Yeah last night when I got it I was about to start drilling the hole but I figure I should ask for input. My main concerns are that if the input of the pump was placed perpendicular to the outlet for efficiency or just because placing it parallel would cause the footprint to be too long. I think it was for footprint issues.
