let me start with I am setting up a quarintine tank this week.

Brand new 90 gallon FOWLR tank. 1 yellow tank 4 days ago, 1 racoon butterfly last night.

This morning thebutterfly is covered in ich and the tang has a couple spots on his fins

I have already started with fresh garlic in their morining feeding. I am considering using copper. since I don't have an established Q-tank, I am considering treating my display. All that is in it at this point is crushed coral substrate, a 20 lbs live rock, and the two fish.

How long after I treat the tank with copper would it be before it would be safe to put an invertabrate in?

What do I do about my live rock, can I moveit to my 30g reef tank, or will that cross contaminate?

Do I put the LR in another qtank just to sit for 40 days, then move to reef?

I'm not sure but I think copper will stay in the tank. From what I have read it will get and stay in the silicone, sand, and rock. I dont know if it will go away.
