i started the above thread awhile ago and thought i may get more responses for my new question if i posted another..hope thats alright.

so..on the last day of the treatment the two spots had disappeared. hopefully because they were killed off by the meds and are not just reproducing in the sandbed!

so, my question is how do i know?

if they are still in the tank because the meds didn't work how long would it take for them to infect the fish again?

all the fish seem happy and the tang is eating really well, filling out nicely and he is not scratching at all on the rocks.

i was at the lfs last night and the fish that i wanted next (flame angel) is $20 off so i'd like to get him and qt him for the proper 4-6weeks and hopefully all will be back to normal in my tank by then. is this a really bad idea???

any advice would be great

only thing for ich is copper.
you can do hyop if you have time and a qt.
ADDING ANYTHING TO YOUR TANK IS A BAD IDEA.
time just may be the best thing at this point.
keep stress down
dont over stock....id pass on the angel, but i know youll get it anyway :rolleye1:

i know there are alot of ppl against putting stuff in the tank however i didn't have much choice when i had to use it but i used kick ich and it worked great however i still don't reccomend treating the main tank unless it is your last resort. how many and what kind of fish are in your tank now will determine on weather you should add another fish to your tank as adding another fish could cause stress again and you could get ich again.

when you treated your tank how long into the treatment did it take for the parasites to fall off?
