if this was your sun coral, how much would you feed it?

This big guy has been in my tank about two months now...I've been feeding it, but from what I've read, the recommended one mysis per head just seems excessive, and I haven't been feeding it anywhere near that...it's my only NPS (in an LPS & softy tank) so I worry I'm not feeding it enough, so I figured I'd post here for feedback/suggestions for a sun coral this large...Mr. Sun Coral and I thank you in advance.

That thing looks big enough to eat half a meatball hoogie! JK

I think that spreading a generous amount of mysis over it couldn't hurt. I change it up and sprinkle pellets over mine once and awhile as well. It also eats things suspended in the water as well as pods.

Haha I know! I swear I heard it belch the other night! That photo only shows one side too, the skeleton of it is kinda hour glass shaped...as soon as food hits the water it puffs up to about the size of a softball!

It has new growth since I bought it...I've been trying raw blended shrimp with selcon that I feed my anemones because its cheaper than PE mysis...it seems to like it, when I do feed it the mysis treats the heads will fight over them! *think Little Shop of Horrors meets The Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene*

What type of pellets do you feed yours? I feed my fish various Spectrum pellets.

I do see it get a pod now and then, I have a nice supply of them from my refugium...I also have several assorted mated shrimps in my tank that spawn about every 2 or 4 days, and I've watched it's polyps opening and closing when that happens too.

I'd say it gets fed directly two times a week, does this seem like enough?
