If you bought any Duncan's from Roes Marine, please post what you think of them.
How are they doing, looking, any new growth (other than Craig's freakish growth.LOL), and how is the color on them?
I got a couple of frag's from them, and am pretty pleased. I know they don't compare to ORA Duncan's, but they aren't too bad.
I have to upload my camera software into my new computer, but I will post pics of my Roes Duncan's as soon as I can.
If you got any, please post pics if you can, and please state what type of lighting they are under. Also the placement in your tank.
Thanks, I know a few of you guy's and girl's went in on a group buy, so lets see some of them.:D
Thanks.

Mine is doing great, I see a bump on it's side not sure if it's growth yet. This picture is when I just got it, mine it's so fleshy that too much flow makes it go crazy flowing around and not opening much. I move it to the bottom for now and it's the size a little bigger then a quarter, mine is under 3 6500K 40Ws and 3 110W superactinics, I'm using IceCaps ballast. The color is looking good I got the bicolor, the mouth is grean with the rest purple and tan. Very happy with it.

I'll take a new pic tonight.

sorry to hear that, what happened?

He didn't bring it by to put in my tank.
Nah, just kidding. From what he told me, it never fully opened up.
I have ordered a total of 6 Duncan's from Roes, and all have opened up within an hour or two of going into the tank.
I will post pics, hopefully tonight.

This is placed just off of the bottom of my 58g. It is under 250w DE MH/ 2x65w Actinic PC. It has medium flow on it, via a wavemaker.

Mine is starting to look like cristhiam's.. It fell off of where I glued it i think i will move it back up since i got ahold of more super glue.. babis come fast!

Mine hasn't quite opened up a lot- it seems ot be very finicky about light and flow.. sometimes its big sometimes it shut ... I sort of noticed it liking being out during the day more too. I think maybe its because of its pseudo photosynthesis? Its making me feed it in the day anyhow..

My ora one is huge and doing the same thing with little babies

Mine stay open just about all the time. Under lunar they are Wide open, under actinic only they are Wide open, and under MH they are Wide open. They do tend to close up, for no apparent reason, but they will be opened right back up in a few minutes.
What are you feeding them? And are you target feeding?

they get mysis - my green one stays open most of the time but my white (yellow) one is finicky sometimes its out sometime it isnt sometimes its halfway.. i have to stand there and feed my shrimps and then the polyp and keep the shrimps shoo'ed away so they dont yank it out of its mouth

Mine is open all the time too, I make my own food with: squid, scallops, shrimp, mussels, brine, krill, silver sides, selcom, flakes, formula 1, 2, pellets, garlic and cyclopezee, it's quite nasty but fish and corals like it!

I also have my own food mix but sometimes its hard to get the coral to eat because its so light and fluffy from being blended together. I actually dont mind the smell of it, reminds me of um.. fish market I guess? My mix is almost the same but i didnt put in mussells or silversides since i dont have anything to eat something quite so large

I glued my duncan back up in its spot today, slimey little sob!!!! Once I did it opened up real big and I rewarded with a pellet or 3 of formula 1 since it wasnt fresh mix time. Felt like i sneezed on my hand it was so slimey, ew! haha

At least it doesnt smell like mushrooms or xenia.. those smells bother me

Its starting to get little buds on it too.. my lights might be out but i'll see if i can take some flash shots real quick to show you.. The ORA one opens up like a half dollar size.

I was watching it today and i dont know if it was my foxface swimming by or me putting the eggcrate back on the top of my tank but it spooked and retracted a lot all at once.. it went from huge to half as huge in like .3 seconds. I was like, wow, that was just beautiful. It just looked so.. elegant moving like that, hard to describe

Here's a pic i took tonight- i need to get one in the day time but its actually kind of a challenge to get the proper color with my tank lights on in a photo of the yellow

Here's a couple of more from Roes, sorry it's so blue, this was supposed to be with flash:

This one is on my sandbed, with medium flow.

I'll get some new pics of all of mine. Right now I have 8 purples(original), four yellows(mine grew another head), 2 ORAs, and three single bicolors(different ones...big difference from one to the other two).
All in all, Tyrone hooked it up with some beautiful corals, Marcye hooked it up with the ORA, and I am generally very pleased with both. Truthfully, I might like Roe's selection better than the ORA's. My yellows are still a really diferent color and the pink tip bicolor is really cool.

Wow those are awesome looking guys!

If anyone has any that make it to fragging size, keep me in mind :)

Roes has a 25% off sale, through today.
I am thinking about ordering a couple of Duncan polyps.
Does anyone want to join in, and save a little on shipping?
