If you could have any shape tank what would it be??
Rectangle, Square, L shape, Circle, half circle, bow front, hex, octogon, pentagon etc...

I really like cube style tanks. If I could find a 30x30x20high tank I would be very happy!

My dream tank is a 48longx24deepx20high Pipefish/Mandarin shoal tank. One day I will make it happen!!

mine wouls be complicated, it would be viewable from 6 sides (hexagon)

it would be like 5 feet long, 3 feet back, 20 inches high

the 2 long panes, each 40 inches, both bowfronts, the sides would be lie ka hex tankm, a triangle with a height of 20

Since we're in the nano forum a standard 10 gallon would make me happy. I have two, it's not the box, it's what's in it............

I saw a 3/4 cylinder once that i thought was a really sharp idea, sort of a room divider for those without room to divide.

I like curved fronts on smaller tanks - it gives them a feel of prescense that i don't think you get with square tanks of similar dimensions.

Mine would not be a shape that would fit into any one catagory. It would be acrylic sheets intermingled with rock formations which jutted out through the glass. It would be like you were on the bottom of the ocean, and could touch the rocks, but you wouldn't be getting wet. That would be my ultimate.
Hey you asked.

Plain and simple, A huge arch that you could walk through. Like a hallway, Approx. 20' long if possible. I know that I wouldn't have the room, and this will stay in my dreams but what the heck!!

You could accomplish that look pretty easily with a regular tank. Just cut your rocks in half and epoxy one half to the inside of the glass/acrylic and then epoxy the other portion of the rock outside so that it matches up.....

I really like my 20L. I like the relatively shallow tank for the length because it lets everything get plenty of light without MH. And it looks really nice!

one huge circle tank with a center overflow, like this one.

i've got the perfect spot in my house for a sweet half circle tank. what i do not have for it is the cash...:(

Hey you asked.

I have seen somthing simalr to this in the art world.

A sculptor cut a bolder in half and placed on half inside of a glass pane. The other outside the glass pane...so it looked like the rock was coming though the glass. Its pretty cool and would be awsome in an aquarium. :)

Agu,

Yes, just longer! One you could walk through, similar to the one @ SeaWorld in the shark tank. I guess it would be more like a tunnel then!! :)

i would like a large diamond shaped tank... viewable from all 4 sides... id say about 10 feet tip to tip and then 5 or 6 tip to tip with a center overflow...

im also a HUGE fan of long and wide tanks with very little height so i could do with an in wall that is like 10 feet long and 4 wide with only like 24" high... maybe less... right at eye level... mmmmm...

that walk through tunnel idea sounds great, Atlantis in the bahamas has one for their predator lagoon and its Bad A$$ i was there when the guy was cleaning the glass on the "inside" (where the sharks are) of the tank and since i was recently certified i wanted to go in and help him soooo bad....

umm about 3-1/2 feet for wall to front of tank. and that covering the surface of a room. walls floor and cieling .

or like a spirle stair well thats walls were a tank. that would bbe awsome
