If you have kept a Powder Blue Tang for more than 1 year, come inside.

4 years. 375g+75g sump, mixed reef. Naso blond, large sohal (10"), CBB, wrasses. I mostly feed them mysis, brine, F2, nori on occasion. PBT eats everything. Sohal hates naso, but gets along with PBT.

PBT's sworn enemy is my cleaning magnet

150 FOWLR AND a few softies.

PBT, Yellow Tang, bicolor angel, flame hawk, percula, algae blenny and a bar goby

I feed a sheet of nori 4-5 days a week and a homemade frozen food.

The yellow went in first with the PBT about three months later. Everyone gets along fantastically.

Good to hear. What order did you introduce the tangs?

If I remember correctly, Naso and Sohal have been together since day one. They were about 2" at most. Sohal grew much faster than naso. Naso has streamers now :)

PBT was addded a year later or so. He remains the smallest of the three, maybe 6" :D

I have mine for about three years in a 90. I feed it a varied diet with lots of greens. The tank has medium to strong currents with lots of caves and tunnels for it to swim through. It's the largest and most aggressive fish in there with damsels, clowns, wrasses and anthias. IMO a four foot long tank is the minium size for these strong active swimmers and for all those who called the tang police on me for having it in only a 90 here is some evidence.....this was taken about a year ago.......

210G (7x2x2) with 2 Purples, Chocolate, Saifin, Hippo, Volitan, Picasso, Tusk, Couple of eels. They don't fight at all. In fact, all of the tangs and my passer just kinda hang out together in a group most of the time. I feed them a lot - FII pellets, F1 Pellets, squid, shrimp, cuttlefish, octo, snail and whatever other nasty stuff I can find at the asian market.

I have had it about 13 months. It was super agressive for the previous owner, but not in my tank. It was not even added last. Key for me is lots of food, hiding places and good near-reef quality water.

Here is a bad pic.

I've had mine a little over a year. He's in a 125 with a yellow tang, foxface, bicolor chromis, yellow tail damsel, azure damsel and a clarki clown.
He eats nori, formula two flakes (frozen, pellets and flakes), frozen prime reef, mysis shrimp and angel formula.

When my powder did 1 year, I got a bigger tank for him. But I donÃ"šÃ‚´t know why, but he was dead after 10 days in a new tank :-(

Now I got a new one....I hope that he has a long life in my new reef

Regards
