Sorry to hear about the wreck. Feel better! I think my wife breathed a big sigh of relief when I sold my Harley last year.......

Yeah, I sold my Honda, after my Brother landed his sorry butt in the Hospital for 6-months. He had a Suzuki 900 and moved an Oldsmobile Cutlass 27' sideways at impact. He landed another 50' past that. The cops thoughts Him dead, until the "bus" got there and said, "Hey! He's not dead!".

He spent the next 6-months in traction. Today, (years later) he's fine, but walks with a limp. His leg was in 17 (distinguishable) pieces; the balance was vapor on the x-ray. Sorry to be graphic, but my point is two-fold: Bikes ARE dangerous. Period. (Because you can't control the "other" guy.) Second: He and Jim are lucky to be alive. I'm celebrating you both.

Rob was an athlete and held his High School's Pole Vaulting Record.

This too shall pass Jim.

i have been a rider since i was 15 i dont see a wreck stopping one of the things i enjoy to do in life . this area is definatly a dangerous place to ride no argue there exp on busy roads, i beleive one of the issues is lack of overall consideration and drivers education for bikers. its not allways the cars fault, you get these idots on thier crotch rockets running the interstate at speeds well over 100 mph splitting lanes and weaving traffic, untill it finaly catchs up with them and not in a good way. the other major issue is cell phones , putting on makeup messing with hair and all kinds of crap hanging from the rear view mirror making it almost impossible to see , others just dont look at all. the state also has some fault with thier noise laws, i had just put the baffles back in the bike 20 min before i got hit i believe if the driver even though didnt look would have heard me comming.. " LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES " . also the police not persuing people that drive reckless right in fornt of them . maybe the should make everyone who gets a drivers license ride a bike for a year or 2 before they can drive a car or truck . maybe then the will show some respect.
