anyone look up their credit relief check? Man I most use a lot of electric. Glad I waited to take down the Halides.

fell in the 3rd tier. :D

As I write a $530 check this month to Ameren, I feel just so good for everyone in IL that they are getting rates reduced, money back, and lower future rates after having frozen rates for 20 years.

Super!!

I guess you do not read the papers, Ameren on the same day they announed the refund, they announced they want to raise the rates again. Anytime you want to pay my $400 electric bill have at it. Until then enjoy writing your own checks.

No need to argue about electric prices. IL residents used to something for a long time then bam higher rates, here have some money we're sorry for raising rates, and bam lets higher the rates again.

Change is hated, even if your close neighbors have experienced change multiple times.

Slow rate raising over many years is better for anyone compared to tow hikes in one years time after a rate freeze. The first wasnt a small rate hike if I remember correctly. My house is small so I didnt really notice.

Missouri residents have been paying part of your electric bill for years.

And your welcome

what is this amount based off of? I have a friend that is getting back $75 more than me, and there bill is 1/2 my bill evrey month?

I wish they would have just given me a credit, instead of waiting on a check. I'm going to put it right back on the Elc bill anyway

I wish the other electric company you guys have was available over here. I hear wonderful things about them.

I think St Charles has a good one also. Would be nice to have a choice.

I dont have a choice.

Is it really fair to say MO residents are paying for IL residents power?

The only way that would be possible is if IL residents were paying a rate below what it actually cost the power company to produce the power. The result would be the power companies running at a net loss.

MO residents would alos have to be paying their bills to the same company to balance this deficit out. I might be wrong but I dont think IL and MO have alwasy shared Ameren's service.

Solution to all problems is to consume less and find wasy to save power in every aspect of our lives.

So you say, I guess you were paying Illinois Power?

I miss IL power you could be weeks late and they didn't care. They wouldn't have immediately charged you a security deposit to be held for one year to teach you a lesson. They wouldn't threaten to kill your power if you were late two weeks. Had electronic billing with IP and Ameren switched the address without telling. Screwed me up and they didn't care. Missouri can keep Ameren.

My rate was $180, and it is going to my account as a credit. I called and told them to do that.
