Ilyanassa obsoleta Snails WARNING!!!

the steroid creams and stuff probably wouldn't work if you continued to handle the tank water. Honestly, I've used those snails and whatever I've harvested locally without issues myself.

I have them in my tank and and now and then i have a bit itch but it only last 5-10 mins with no rash

And a big Thanks to Doctor Sid!!! Got some frags with yer name on them.
Cloak, That link is what my biopsy was looking for and the SULFAMETH/TMP DS TABS, anti bacterial, were prescribed as a caution.
As per not every one having it this bad, snails collected is Shark River did not cause symptoms, Manasquan Snails sent me to the ER. Perhaps local outbreaks?
Gloves, yes I did wear them and wash my hands. The baby bad things are microscopic and any contact with tank water, splash ect, can cause exposure.

Link from a year ago when this first started.

Just happy we got to the bottom of it and that you can stay in the hobby:celeb3::thumbsup:

Thanks for the heads up Greg- I've collected these snails from Raritan Bay, but haven't had any problems as Halichoeres wrasses seem to eat them fairly quickly.
