IM 20 NUVO Fusion - 1 AI Prime HD enough, IM Ghost Dekstop?

Going to do a little nano at my desk until the big build in Jan. Do you all think 1 AI Prime HD would be enough in the center on an AI Arm? I feel like the 24x24 spread will be enough, but I have never used AI before, and I don't want to spend the cash on a XR15.

Would you all go with a IM Ghost Desktop skimmer for it? I have read a ton of mixed reviews on it.

I will toss an MP10wQD I have laying around on it, I think that should be plenty of flow.

I've had a Nuvo fusion set up for 2 months. 24" across I don't think you would need 2 of anything imo. I'm using a prime HD and not getting enough growth [emoji20]. Wishing I would've spent the money on a better light in the beginning.

by better light, what would you have gone with? Are you running a skimmer?

I'm upgrading to a Kessil A360w. Grabbed a used one, and I do use a skimmer. The IM ghost desktop

Tuna blue. I trust bulkreefsupply and they recommend it. The owner of BRS uses them. Happy with the ghost skimmer. By happy I mean it works and hasn't had any problems yet haha. I need an mp10 next!

Haha, yea I keep my expectations low with nano skimmers. This video helped me a lot on picking out a light and how many.

I'm not a fan of the single point light unless your running a cube. 1 AI 26, 2 primes, 2 kessil 160s or a single radion. I'm running an AI 26 with the arm on my 20g.

I would go with ai hydra 26 or 52, once you up grade your tank, these lights can still be use on large aquariums.

I bought a AI Hydra 25HD for my ADA 60p (24x12x14)
great coverage, growth, color, control etc...I've switched from a Kessil...never going back.

Hydra 26HD sounds like what I need to go with. Just placed the order for one at Aquarium Specialty in white, as they had that one in stock.

small change, I ordered the 25 lagoon instead of the 20, I wanted the extra 5" front to back.

I have an IM 40 Fusion, 24" across.

Hydra 26 on the fixed holder about 18" above tank covers it nicely. Prime won't do it.

I have nuvo 20 and I use an radion xr 30pro. Covers the tank very well. One light will not be anough. You will have lots of shadowing.
