I'm back!

I wanted to get a 7D but between paying for school, Christmas presents, and knowing I need to replace my 24-70 f/2.8, it just wasn't realistic. I do have a 50mm f/1.4 so I can wait on the 24-70, but I can't wait to get out and shoot again! So 50D it is. Should arrive tomorrow.

The 50D wont be much of a difference compared to what you're used to.

SWEET! Glad to hear! I know how you feel... after returning my T1i and ordering a 7D, I waited 3 weeks for it to show up in the mail. Just got it yesterday and I am a picture taking FOOL!

B&H gave me no tax, no shipping fee, next day air. I am skeptical of the no tax part but that's what the invoice said.

I don't think you pay tax from any of those online retailers as long as they aren't located in your state. B&H (among others) is located in NY.

I could put some snow in a cooler and pelt you with a snowball when I get down there mid January. If you've never been him in the back of the head with a melty icy ball of snow and had it dribble down the back of your neck, soaking your clothes under your coat and pretty much freezing you for the next 30 minutes, then you've yet to live, my friend
