I'm haveing a tank built 72*24*30 where should i have the overflow's

is it best to have them toward the middle of the tank?

if you're viewing the front and sides, yes, but my favorite is to the sides on a front glass only tank, so you can get a surge going back and forth.

I personally if having a tank customized would shoot for external overflows if space allows. Even at 24 inches internal overflows take away from aquascaping possibilities. Just a thought.

Tagging along as well....I'm planning a new build and have already decided on external overflow(s), but curious is there any advantage to overflows with or without teeth?

I ordered dual central overflows for my 72x24x24. I'll get 3 viewable sides of the tank, but the drawback is less aquascaping space.
