I'm not allowed to hang my pendant!!!

well i really need to get my 250 watt pendant over the tank, but just discovered, that im not allowed to hang things from the cielling.
any suggestions, on what i can make to hang it.?

no canopy? you could make a bridge type thing supported off the tank with acrylic to hang it from. or make a canopy for it.

not too many other options. if you can suspend it from above, you have to support it from below.

I have a friend with the same problem. He bought Hinge Brackets and Hung them on the wall with extensions over his tank, Has 2 Pendant lights on them, Works reall good, I would have never thought of it, But its effective.

I have seen people use bird cage hangers to hang their lights from. Just sit it behind the tank and the arm reaches out over the tank.

I have seen people use shelf supports attached to the wall. Does not look very good, but it is functional.

maybe the wife's rules haha. I wanted to hang my lights from the ceiling but was quickly smacked and asked if I was crazy!

Thats yoru fault for asking first. It is obvious that you can take a smack, so why not just act and be prepared for the smack. Thats how I built my in-wall.

Damn! I knew I screwed up! Actually I asked for the inwall first and convert the dining room into a fish room. I should have just torn up the carpet and went to town with my sawzall. Doh!!!
