I bought two LPS colonies from an online shop which arrived today.

One has amazing coloration like on the site but the other?

What I received,

I just tested the bag water and the KH is 4.5!

I've emailed the seller asking for a refund. What a joke!

Maybe some corals just don't ship as well as others, and perhaps this one will recover quickly in a good environment.

As for the healthy-looking coral: Did you test the water in that bag? Was the KH similar?

Too much actinic...common sales tactic...even the 'white' gravel, looks blue in the first pic...do they list the lighting in the FS ad?

give it some time. Oh, and is your lighting comparable to that of the store? Are you running 10k while the store may be running 20k?

The colors might be off due to stress from shipping. On the other hand, actinics are often overused which dramatically changes the colors. Also, due to different types of lighting, how a coral looks in one tank can be very different than how it looks in our tank. I actually emailed a popular vendor and told him I loved one of their corals but could tell the actinics were very strong (the eggcrate was VERY blue) thus I wanted to know what the "real" color of the coral was. He was gracious, apologized, and said they were going to start using a bit less actinic when photographing due to your said type of problem.
