I just bought an XR15W Pro for my 20L frag tank. The box states:
120° TIR Lens (Installed)
80° TIR Lens (Included)
The tank is 30 inches long, but only 12 inches deep. I know the XR15W Pro is only rated for 24 inches of spread, so I expected a bit of light fall off at the edges, but it seemed a bit excessive to me. I've had it set up for several days and as I was cleaning up the box I had left out I took a look at the lens that was included in the box and noticed it said "Wide Angle Optic" on it, so that sounded like the 120° lens to me. Just for fun, I swapped the lenses out and it appears that I'm getting a much better light spread. The lens that was pre-installed doesn't say anything on it (other than "ecotech marine").
So did the box lie and the 80° lens came pre installed, or is the lens labeled "Wide Angle Optic" the 80° lens?
