how long after you glue or putty a frag onto a rock, will the sps start to grow over the putty or on the rock?

After about a month it may start. I got one in January that has finally completely covered its bond. And it depends on the coral. The bali slimer hasn't; the ac. valida is the one that's overgrown, and a little two inch aculeus that is browned to the max and a rehab project has grown way over onto the rock.
