Yes, they can drive up to 4 bulbs, however they will be overdriven. Meaning at hight wattage= brighter.
Some people swear they are almost like Metal halides if you add SLR reflectors.

Definately, and it will overdrive the bulbs. This equates to more output with a modest decrease in lifespan (I would change out in a year as opposed to a year and a half). Very important: keep your bulbs well cooled with fans. At this increased output they generate considerably more heat. If you don't cool the bulbs with a fan, they will quickly degrade.
