Impellers breaking on older tunze pumps

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I have a set of 4 of the older tunze pumps (prior to the streams) that I've had going on 6 years now. In the last fews months, 3 of the 4 pumps have had the impeller break off at the neck. I have one left now and was wondering if there is anything to do to prevent it? I regularly clean the pumps.

Also, can this be fixed? Ie are there replacement impellers?

Thanks,

Jim

Their are replacements, I need a bit more info to make sure we get you the right parts (model number, production code) I would think something is getting in the pumps somehow, it is more a matter of prevention to keep whatever animal out that is causing this.

roger,

It's no animal. The pumps have been clean every time I've checked them, and it all happened within 3 months. They all break at the same spot too.

That wouldn't be possible without an animal. One pump I could see, but 3? That would be more than broke in the whole country in the last 3 months. Has to be some sort of small snail. I strongly suspect a stomatid. What is the production code and model so we can be sure you get the right parts. The production code is three digits pressed into the plastic near the clip on the back.
